2024 was a year full of achievements for our team. Bold projects, standout events, and inspiring recognitions: we once again pushed the boundaries and solidified our position as a leading tech company in Canada.

Innovation at the core of our DNA

This year, we advanced artificial intelligence through strengthened strategic partnerships, particularly with Mila, a world-renowned research center. This collaboration allowed us to explore new ways to apply AI to complex, real-world challenges.

Our internal AI initiatives also thrived. During a 16-hour hackathon, our team pushed the limits of creativity by developing innovative solutions that redefine how AI can simplify our lives. Additionally, a hands-on workshop on computer vision helped our developers refine their skills, enhancing our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients.

Some of our standout projects included collaborations with major players across various industries:

• Halo Dental Technologies: We reimagined dental care with AI, putting technology at the service of practitioners and patients.
• Kruger: We developed a revolutionary digital twin to optimize operations, paving the way for deep digital transformation.
• Promark Electronics: Our computer vision solution enhanced quality assurance processes in manufacturing.
• Syensqo: We created an innovative platform to simplify and optimize laboratory management.
• Corem: Together, we built digital tools to modernize R&D in the mining sector.
• Begin Fertility: This groundbreaking digital health service transformed the fertility care experience with a patient-first approach.

Launching our new website

In May, we launched our new website, a milestone that reflects 13 years of ambitious projects and constant innovation. Designed to embody our vision, the site highlights our advanced tech solutions, especially in AI, and our commitment to serving industries with excellence.

Every element is crafted to inspire, spotlight our innovative projects, and reflect our commitment to driving our partners’ ambitions forward, from concept to execution. The event of the year: ALL IN

2024 marked our participation in the landmark edition of ALL IN, an unmissable event that brought together the brightest minds in the AI ecosystem. Over two intensive days, our team showcased revolutionary projects, explored opportunities, and proved that AI is accessible to businesses of all types.

At the event, we proudly contributed to two major talks:

1. Revolutionizing Dental Care with AI – Martin Coulombe and David Khoury, co-founder of Halo Dental Technologies, explained how AI is transforming dental experiences. By leveraging natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and secure data management, we collaborated with Halo to revolutionize care through a connected dental mirror. Relive the talk here.

1. From Manufacturer to AI Specialist – Martin Coulombe and Jarred Knecht from Electrical Components International shared how AI has redefined quality control in manufacturing. Using advanced techniques, we automated and enhanced these processes, setting new standards for the industry. Relive the talk here.

These presentations not only highlighted AI’s tangible impact but also demonstrated how local collaborations can drive innovations that shape the future of manufacturing and healthcare.

Our talents also shone on the international stage: Carl Lapierre captivated audiences at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin, while Thierry Marcoux represented Osedea at the prestigious Hannover Messe in Germany. These moments reinforced our role as a key player in the global tech landscape.

Strengthening team spirit: OsedeaFest

The second edition of OsedeaFest brought our team together for two days of creativity and connection. Inspiring talks, interactive workshops, a festive dinner at Kwizinn Vieux-Port, and memorable activities like an escape game and a mocktail competition made this event unforgettable.

A unique initiative for maximum impact

Through The Goblet of Giving, we turned philanthropy into a collaborative and engaging experience while supporting two vital causes:

• Refuge des Jeunes de Montréal, which assists homeless young men.
• Fondation Véro & Louis, which creates adapted homes for autistic adults.

Inspired by the world of Harry Potter, this friendly competition encouraged every team member to actively engage in community initiatives while fostering camaraderie.

In less than a year, thanks to the energy and generosity of our team, we raised $40,000—$30,000 from points earned through the Goblet and $10,000 from individual donations and activities like our run for Fondation Véro & Louis. These funds provide tangible support to our partners in serving their communities. The Goblet of Giving is more than a competition; it’s a testament to how small actions can build a brighter future.

Building lasting leadership: the Elevate program

Leadership is an integral part of our DNA, where every team member plays a crucial role in our boss-free model. To further develop these skills, we designed Elevate, an immersive six-month program to nurture leadership in self, others, and ideas.

Through collaborative discussions, practical exercises, and real-world projects, Elevate helped our first cohort thrive and forge lasting connections. The results speak for themselves: a 9.3/10 rating for the program’s organization and inspiring testimonials highlighting its transformative impact. We’re excited to welcome a new cohort in 2025 and continue empowering tomorrow’s leaders.

Recognitions and distinctions

Our commitment to excellence was celebrated multiple times this year. Osedea was named among Canada’s fastest-growing companies by The Globe and Mail and L’Actualité. For the second consecutive year, we ranked among Montréal’s top employers, reflecting our efforts to create a flexible and fulfilling work environment.
